Furnace Heat Check – Do You Really Need It?
Yes — it’s about safety. A cracked heat exchanger can leak carbon monoxide (CO) into your home. Carbon Monoxide is a silent, scentless and deadly gas. Serious stuff, right? Heating system safety inspections help keep your family safe!
Manufacturers believe so strongly in maintenance that sometimes, if you cannot prove that your equipment has received regular maintenance, the manufacturer can void your equipment warranty.
What Can You Do To Prepare?
The outdoor condensing unit is the unit that sits outside, it pulls in air. As the weather changes, the leaves will fall and can build up around the unit. If the leaves build up around your outdoor unit it can affect the performance of your system. Make sure and remove those leaves.
Side Note: It’s also a good time to change your filter out as well.
Want to Save Money On Your Heating Bills?
Try using your ceiling fans in the reverse direction. This will draw air up and help distribute it evenly back around the room.
